Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber has filed a defamation suit against two women who accused him of sexual misconduct, demanding compensation of $ 20 million.
The young pop singer filed the lawsuit with the Los Angeles Superior Court Thursday after he wrote on Twitter earlier this week that the allegation that he had sexually assaulted a woman in 2014 was “virtually impossible”.
The woman, who identified herself as Daniel without being identified, said in a Twitter Tweet that she had since been deleted that she had been sexually assaulted by Bieber at a hotel in Austin, Texas, on March 9, 2014.
The other woman, who identified herself as Cady, also said on Twitter that she was assaulted by Bieber in a New York City hotel room in May 2015.
The lawsuit described the accusations made by the two women as “fabricated and infamous lies”, demanding a trial before a jury and compensation in the amount of 20 million US dollars for Biber for the damages incurred.
Neither woman could be contacted Friday for comment, and Bieber representatives did not respond to requests for comment on the lawsuit.
The 26-year-old Bieber star brightened when he was thirteen, and became one of the most popular singers in the world.
