10 million Kuwaiti dinars spent in aid for COVID-19 victims
Due to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, around 39,000 individuals have registered in the relief assistance programme set up by the Ministry of Social and Economic Affairs, local media reported.
According to a report by the Ministry of the social development sector, around 60 charities have participated in the programme.

Those that are registered in the programme receive monthly coupons for groceries, financial aid and assistance with their rent. In total, the Ministry has spent around 10 million Kuwaiti dinars on relief aid for those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kuwait on Thursday registered 795 new cases of Covid-19 in last 24 hours. The total number of cases increased to 129,638 and the death toll reaches 799 with 5 new fatality.
In the last 24 hours, 822 cases were recovered making the total recovery to 120,564
Those currently receiving treatment at hospitals reached 8,275 patients.
