Qatar launches WhatsApp service on labour codes
Qatar has launched a multilingual WhatsApp service providing information on the country’s labour laws.
The Government Communications Office (GCO) said that the new service is available for free and provides up-to-date information for employers and expatriate workers about their rights. It also offers information on the Qatar visa centres and answers to the most frequently asked questions about labour laws, the GCO added.
The 24-hour information service is an automated chatbot and is available in six languages: Arabic, English, Urdu, Hindi, Nepali and Malayalam.
