Africa loses 55 billion in tourism revenue in 3 months

African Union Commissioner for Infrastructure and Energy Amani Abu Zaid said on Thursday that African countries had lost nearly 55 billion dollars in travel and tourism revenues in three months due to the Corona virus pandemic.

She added during a press conference that the aviation sector will be affected greatly due to the lengthy measures of public isolation and border closures to prevent the spread of the virus.

She said: “Some airlines on the continent will not continue to be after Coffed-19.”
