Emirates Airlines said that travelers with it from 10 countries, including 18 destinations, must hold a medical certificate confirming a negative test for the emerging corona virus “Covid-19”, issued by a laboratory approved by the local government to be accepted on the flight. The carrier added today, Wednesday, in a statement on its website that a certificate from a laboratory accredited by the government of the United Arab Emirates in the country of origin will also be accepted, according to what was mentioned in the newspaper “Al Bayan”.
The specific countries include: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Iran, Pakistan, the Philippines, the Russian Federation, and Tanzania.
It also includes the United States of America from Dallas Fort Worth, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, including passengers from California, Florida and Texas who arrive in the Emirates via Dubai.
Emirates indicated that certificates must be issued at least 96 hours before departure.
